Update from Saturdays Progress:
We wanted to get a fair bit done yesterday but we didn't get as much as we hoped, so still a fair bit to do but with me being in Germany for an Opel show next weekend it means week day progress will have to be made!
Last week we chopped the springs so that we could see what sort of drop was available and what the car would look like. We wanted the front to be a little lower than we had it already so using the information the chopped springs gave us, we were able to take some measurements to get the new springs custom made .
Dont chop springs its not big or clever and as you can see very dangerous! we only did it to see what the stance would be like low.
A phone call to www.coilsprings.co.uk on Wednesday morning to see if they could sort us out, didnt go to plan as they are off on holiday from Friday for 10 days!!! However the amazingly good people at coilsprings trusted us to send the money to them, and they got started on our custom drop springs straight away.
We wanted Fronts 110mm the rears 90mm
A phone call to check all was well the next day and we get told they will be in the post at the end of the day!! Friday morning we had the custom one off springs from coilsprings!!! We can not thank or praise this company enough, they went out of their way to help us and made sure it was done and dusted in 48 hours!! How cool is that these days!
So Saturday we fitted the rears and got the drop exactly how we wanted! sweet! The fronts was not so good though Its lower than before but the shocks are stopping it from going any lower! bummer! So we need to address that and have a couple of ideas thanks to Mig and Mk3OC - cheers guys!
The other mission for Saturday was to do the boot build A call to me whilst drunk last weekend from Brett, telling me his idea for a large screen in the rear, soon become a full entertainment system in the large boot - yes this does mean the Mk3 wont be carrying the AOC stand equipment any more -
So we did some research on ebay, picked up some bits at the weekend and got the following
Then we did a build for the state of the art technology to sit in - its not covered yet but you get the idea
Notice a couple of new stickers:

and the build!
Brett has also got around to some other bits and pieces this week, IE the steering wheel, the indicator stalks, taxi 'for hire' warning light, as well as some other trick bits to be documented latter Genius and very funny indeed!!
Lastly we think this was our messiest day yet, so we thought we would take a couple of picks for the people that like to take the piss out of the area brett lives in - shame on you all we say and stop being so up your own arse
We hope you laugh point and cringe at AsRats latest 'Modifications'

We need to get another controller for space invaders though, and some extension leads if possible!

Cheers fella
Glad a good percentage of people can understand the comedy element to the car and the fun in building it, compared to building 'normal' modified cars some people are taking it far to seriously which makes it even funnier
