just wondering how much it would cost for a 1.6 16v Tigra engine? and will it go straight in a 1.4SRi engine bay?

IT wont be the Gsi engine though, will be the later 106bhp 1.6 16v. But yes you are right a straight swap.

They go for around £400/£500 complete with everything you need.

Im selling a X16XE 1.6 16v,it is the later 106bhp version.
£450 ONO including engine,ECU,loom n gearbox,all the EGR stuff etc.
It has 80 odd thou miles on it,but is in perfect condition,does NOT clatter AT ALL on start up,or smoke when you rev it.
It gave 110bhp on a rolling road a month or so ago.
Its a cracker of an engine!!
The later gsi,95 on DID have this engine,EXACTLY the same as the tigra.
The early gsi's had a C16XE 109bhp.
Tigras,late gsi's and sports had the X16XE 106bhp.
Let me know if you interested,
