i promise u if u drive the 1.8 youll b gutted. the engine has potential, but the ZF gearbox is total pants. 1,2,3 are absolutely shite. if u drive a astra 1.8 ull love that so when you jump in a lighter car with same engine ull b gutted. test one and you'll see what i mean.
but jump in the new 1.7CDTi and i guarantee you'll order one.

Yeah the Astra 1.8 16v is wicked fun to drive, feels more like the C20XE as its so revvy.

the 1.8 astra is proper quality. its strong and light and just awesome. plus its gearin is good to get the power down. thats where the corsa 1.8 lacks. its got a city gearbox in. for willys. needs decent box in.
