Sump gasket will probably still leak.

oh and reasons for?
higher oil capacity, lower center of gravity for the engine and most importantly less chance of oil starvation when the car is getting thrown around and oil is sloshing in the sump.
tbh, not needed unless its a rally car or serious track car.

their are cheaper kits.
around 700-800 mark but stick with pace or sbd if your going to get one.
advantages:
constant oil pressure.
no oil surgues.
no loss of oil when cornering, braking accelerating etc.
possibly gain tiny amounts of bhp through geting rid of brether system.
better ground clearance due to very shallow sump.
basically protecting your engine even if your car was upside-down your engine would still get full lubrication.
google it or see www.sbdev.co.uk
if you want more information

Stick with Pace/SBD kits, thing is once you have shelled out for the kit that you can see there you still need to shell out maybe another 400 at least for the tank and other bits you'll need to run the system!

as willay says, decent tanks arn't cheap, then you need to pipe it up, and get fittings for the tank and pipe work, and an oil cooler, i dread to think how much the RRP of my dry sump system is.

It's false economy to piss about with the cheap stuff though...
