just wondering how much it would cost me on average to have my boot semi smoothed?

welded, smoothed and painted?

how much have people payed on here to have theres done?

Welded, smoothed & painted... Probably £180-220.

they do... unless you "know" them

tbh my mates just bought a mig welded so i might have a go and weld a plate in myself, im pretty good at bodywork so i could prep it, and just get a bodyshop to spray it up

doubt it will make much difference, maybe abit knocked off as youv welded it up, but if you give and item to a bodyshop, they will 9 times out of 10 re-prep it themselves as if they just got ahead and spray it and it reacts its there time and money and they become liable.

could be cheaper but then again they dont always like you preping it, and its hard to know everyone

a mate of mines payed 300 to remove all his badges and paint all the bumper tops arches and door handles

I payed 250 for a fully smooth boot 3 years ago, its about right, labour of removing it from car, preping part, welding, fillering, smoothing, painting, buffing, puttin part on car! At end of day mate all takes time and time is money

looking at what needs doing, does look about right..

just have to ring aroung for quotes realy first..

and "mobby" 300 for arches and debadging!! will have my car done for about 25 quid, debadging was free just took time, but then theres plastic primer, gloss black, star silver and laquer..

should cost about 25 all in..

i know i removed the badges myself from my old car, but im just saying what people pay, if people keep paying then theyll keep charging

Your ok with gloss black but any other colour you will struggle to get a goos laquar finish from a can. And before you start it watch out with star stilver as it is a VERY VERY hard colour to match as it never mind from a can!

tis true..

just worked out on average is going to cost me just under 500pound to get my car how i want it, pref before trax this year...

but ive still got to sort out my escort track car for ford fair!

only thing il be spraying star silver is the door handles, so it wont be the end of the world

I did the door handles star silver on the astra and as soon as i put them up against the car they were totally different

To look at they looked great
