would the inlet manifold off the gsi the c16xe fit the x14xe, if so would it make a difference.

Be best putting a C16XE head on it twinned with the lower inlet manifold and powerbox

Yeah but with the ports being slightly bigger you may aswell go for the C16 lower inlet purely to match the head

Yeah, but that won't match his x14xe upper inlet

So you'd need c16xe lower inlet, upper inlet, throttle body and throttle cable

its a friend of mine that has done it he has a x14xe sport also and has the c16xe gsi inlet manifold on it and a set of piper cams and k&n, hes been saying its fast for a while so i asked him if he wanted a race lol i have a standard 1.4 sport with derestricted airbox and powerflow backbox and i left him for dead,
