If it's not a good model why did they accept the deal in all the other countries they have it
They ARE making it good for business aye but its no Blackberry etc in 1st Gen spec
We accepted the deal mainly for the 2nd Gen version and also cos we can sell it better in other markets where as Scott said, people are more prepared/used to paying for a handset whereas UK/Spain/Germany etc are not keen on paying for handsets

because like i said, other cultures ae used to paying for phones!! in oz, no matter what contract you are on, u pay $1300 for an N95. they are used too paying for phones, so they can charge and retain customers. in the uk, we cannot afford to loose the uks biggest spending customers.

they came to voda first apparently, we saw the proposal and in the nicest business sense, laughed.
o2 have a larger customer base-we know this. they target ur students, and low spends. we make the most money from our customers, and retain at the same time.

Exactly, hence why we cant necy compete on tariffs with O2 as they make less margin for the tariffs and hence draw more customers... but overall profitability/revenue etc we are higher in majority of markets

like data.
we just invested £90 million into out 3g network alone as we recognise that with the amount of data connections we need to improve the 3g network more. the likes of o2 make little profit compared, so take longer to make network enhancements. i agree, as a consumer we are expensive, but you really do get what you pay for. example, 3 customers, there line rentals r stupidl ylow. they have no network of there own, and call centres in india. we have our own network, and uk call centres. service costs

What's the commision like?
Anyways, threads not about vodafone so lets stop pushing the "vodafone is the best operator crap" (which is highly debatable) and stick to posts about the iphone....
