Tools > Pop Up Blocker > Turn On Pop Up Blocker

Run a spyware scan on your PC.
I run firefox and i very very rarely get a notification to say a popup has been blocked.

Yip if you're still getting popups you are 100% infected, stop going on dodgy porn sites is good advice.
