my gearbox just packed in and i have just enough money to buy a new one but i cant get the car to a garage is it worth trying to do it myself? and any advice if i do decide to do this myself? thanks

i have a 5 speed f10 gearbox if your interested came from a nova (im sure theryre the same) £40 and im in greenock, so not to far from ye, it will take about 4 hours if you can find someone to help you change it, basically its wheel off, driveshaft out, gearbox unbolts and new one bolts on. email me at doug4293@aol.com if interested or 07743415422 thanks
