Thats about 270-275 at the fly.
He needs a adjustable FPR becuase youve fitted much bigger injectors, which will have changed the AFR. So you need to adjust the pressure to get the afr correct.
As said, the amal valve is how the ecu controls the wastegate/actuator.
XE inlet cam will mean he needs a vernier pully too.

Fueling at the moment is spot on, chap said who was doing it, everythings set up sound at the moment. If i up the boost anymore il need an adjustable fpr. But as said its spot on at the mo, so im pleased with it.

pagey, im not running a bleed valve/mbc, ive just by passed the amal valve and adjusted boost by the actuator, as for transmisson losses mine did 283@fly which was 272@wheels so i cant see you losing alot on your figures!

how can you tell transmission loss% without dynoing the engine out the car? don't think you can really.

Going by this i need 260bhp at wheels to see 300bhp at flywheel. Im only running 10psi boost so will up that get a fpr, stick it at holding 18psi, see what happens then. Would want to get to 248bhp @wheels, then xe inlet to hit the 300bhp at fly figure. So may not need that much boost.

is it not dodgy scrapping the amel valve? I thought the ecu would have no way of cutting boost if needs be? granted mine as only had to do this once when I had a kink in vacumme to FPR, but wonder what would of happened if it didnt cut the boost off until it was fixed.....

If your running 10psi on EVO 5 chips then this car is NOT set up correctly.
So to this end the is no need to remove the amal valve and IMO if the operator said do that an fit a bleed valve then he doesn't have a clue about setting up Vauxhalls / phase chips and should be avoided.
The amal valve is there for a reason and will easily cope with the proper boost pressures that EVO 5 chips give of 22psi overboost and holding pressure of 14. Just make sure your fuel pressure is correct in the process.
If for whatever reason your not holding 14psi then you should look and see why rather than try and cheat the system.

The car has not been setup, just rollered and checked for fueling. Setting up is what it needs, an increase in boost, to 14psi, which is what im gonna do to make the most of that evo 5 chip. As it stands i wont get rid of the amal valve at all, i know you can bypass this and fit a bleed valve but im not going to, as the chip does what it says and doesnt limit the boost i just need to crank it up a bit, but must fit fpr to cope with the increase in boost, at 10psi, fueling is fine. Thats all, and is making good power at that spec.
