first of all when starting my car earlier after being left for a while, she took a cuple of seconds to start. once it was started it was fine, until after driving for about 15 mins, she started spluttering, jerking, and revs dying down to about 400 rpm. drivin it home, i had to use the clutch as when the engine isnt underload, it seems fine and revs as it shood. ive just had it back from a full rebuild. wat cood this be?

Engine is c20xe

May not be getting a sufficient spark or it's being choked of air?

Perhaps the valves maynot be opening/closing correctly hence not enough/too much of one or other maybe causing the problem also.

Id say if the rebuilt is under warrenty, take it back to them! Where and who you have it with??

MAybe EGR valve aswell though or the throttle is not behaving!

I say try not to touch anything and take it back asap, you paid for them to re-build it, you shouldn't have to get ya hands dirty m8

Fair enough silly me!

Praps try replacing the crank sensor then? If it looks melted maynot be 100% functional but surely if the cranksensor was knackered the car wouldn't start?

Is the engine light on?

If it is you really need to flash the codes off.

Theres no point replacing sensors until you know which one (if any) are at faulty.

rite ppl, problem is getting worse and getting alot harder to start. ive changed the following :
airflow meter
crank sensor
fuel filter
coolant temp sensor
leads

i honestly cant find any leaks anywhere around the intake.. when it eventually starts after about 5 times of turning over, i have the rev the car really quick to keep it running as holding the throttle and not touching it makes it cut out straight away, and by pumping the throttle to keep it going, i can only manage to keep it running for about 10 seconds, then the revs drop and it cuts out. i have noticed that the battery is always goin flat.. wood this cause my car to do this? its honestly driving me bonkers.. thanks

Any fault codes? - someone has already asked?!?

If the car runs and there are no knocks and bangs then it's likely the fault is 1 of 2 things:

1. Sensor issues - hence why people have asked if your EML is coming on
2. Air leak

I can't believe you've minced about with this for over a week and still not taken it back to the place that built it!?!
