how long ago did you have it turned off?
Depending on the time they may well just use your same viewing card and you'll have it fairly soon. Or they could issue you a new one and it'll take a bit longer for you to ge tit.
If your Sky setup is fairly old though they may insist on a new one being installed - just to be arsey and make some more money.
You're best ringing them as should be able to tell you fairly easily.

I'd say 5min to one hour. I added a channel once and they said that timescale. It came on 5 minutes later.

if your equipment is still in place and you have the viewing card and havent touched anything
2mins to 4 hours
if you need to replace any part of the kit you will have to pay for that plus install (£60)
if you lost your v/c £10 for a new one and up to 14days for that to get to you then you need to pair the card to the box.

They are doing the sky hd for 75 when you introduce a friend as well, same for the friend afaik.
Some people are getting away with it by phoning up without introducing a friend though.

No. Just tell them you only need the card activating.
I technically installed Sky HD on my own. I phoned them up and asked them to activate the card to the box, but without taking out the HD subscription -- it took literally an hour of explaining and being transferred (etc), but finally I got it. Call centre monkeys...
