Im having a problem with my brakes atm. They are working fine until I brake down to between 5-10mph and then it feels like the ABS is kicking in and it sounds like a big spring clunking I can feel it under my foot on the pedal stopping me from putting it right down to the floor and then it will suddenly release.
Ive only been having the problem since I had new rear drums put on the other week but its definitely at the front of the car thats making the weird clanging noise.
Is it summit to do with my ABS? If so, is there anyway of disabling it?
Cheers, Tom

Sounds exactly like your ABS is coming on, Are you sure one of the rear wheels isnt starting to lock up or are you only braking gently? Might be worth taking it back to the garage and telling them to check your rear ABS sensors

Yeah its when im braking gently and only when Im coming to a standstill. Would that cause it to happen on the front though? And what about the spring noise?

The noise comes from the front because thats where the ABS module is and the spring noise and brake pedal feel is what happens when the ABS thinks your skidding and kicks in
