Rather See Strauss take on Tests. Coming back to form nicely the more play internationally he's given. I feel he'd handle the responsibility sensibly and with great results.

KP might be the man for One Day. A prolific batsman, big personality but questionable team building and maintaining credentials. I'd like to see him take on this role before taking on both.

I can see the sense and thought in having one man for both.

But my personal feeling that there is more sense and reason in having one for each.

They only changed to one each because Vaughan was terrible at the one day format, but at that time was doing well in tests.
