If your taking the wheel off replace it with somthing decent
As for removing airbag, disconect bat for an hour then 2 screws behind the wheel and it pops off then disconect

How safe is it leaving the airbag unplugged? It wont go off randomly will it?
The new squid I got didnt come with the airbag plug, so Im going to have to chop and connect wires on the airbag loom

Disconnect the plug from the ecu under the centre console and leave it for around 20-30mins to make sure its fully discharged.
I'vedone it a few times and its been fine
