Hi, I have just had my new exhaust fitted [scorpion cat back system] its lovely fair play, but it knocks on the bumper.

Whats the best way to fix this? just stick a bit of rubber on the bumper to cushion it? What can i use to stick it? as im guessing that area would get rather warm and melt glues a bit?

Thanks

mine done this, it will be the hangers hitting the bumper, you can either hack them off or get a soft hammer and just push the exhaust back, obv loosen the clips first or you will bend it

thanks mate, but it is definately just the tail pipe hitting the bumper when its vibrating, as the exhaust is extremely sturdy and doesnt move much.
Also, when i chuck a bit of rubber in between the tail pipe and the bumper, it stops........until the rubber falls back off. lol.
Cheers though

is it the bumper or the metal lip behind the bumper?

my exhaust banged on the lip until i knocked the lip back using a hammer.

nope, its the painted part of the bumper, the plasticy bit.
Do you rekon a bit of double sided sticky tape would hold it?

If you had a garage/exhaust company take it back because they havent fitted it properly, if you did it yourself then you have to slacken the joints off under the car and twist the parts until it sits right then tighten it all back up.

I got poly hangers with my scorpion cat back and they hold it away from the bumper as they are stiffer. No problems so far
