Hi,
I've got a 1998 on an S corsa sport. Started life as a 1.4 16v before the engine was replaced with an XE out of a mk3 GSi.
The speedo hasn't worked since I got it because the speedo cable is non-existant. What parts do I need to make the speedo work?It has an F20 gearbox, I think I need a transducer(?) and an actual cable. Am I right?
If anyone knows of any guides out there please post a link and I'll kiss your feet.

This is the transducer that's required:
The plug on the left was acquired from the scrapyard earlier in the day. This is the plug that was on my car:
This needed to be removed and then it was a case of matching the wire colours:
This is the transducer in place:
All covered up with conduit:

Cheers mate, good pics.
So the round plug with the three pin holes, did you get that off a corsa from the scrappy? I take it the other side of it was connected to the speedo cable, connected to the clocks?
And will I be wanting a speedo cable off a corsa sport or mk3 GSi?

Iv never done a conversion but Im pretty sure it goes likes this-
You will either have an electronic or cable speedo
Take your clocks out and check whether it is electronic and check your gearbox to ensure the same.
If one is electronic and one is cable you need to change one of them
If the are both cable then you need the correct cable
If they are both electronic then you do what dave b said and just change the plug and transducer and match the colours.

So I'm after a corsa sport speedo cable, the transducer as per the picture and the plug that I swap over.
What kind of car will I find the plug I need to swap on? I'm assuming a corsa, but you know what they say about assumptions being the brother of all fuck ups

No, it will be either electric, or cable.

getting the idea now? you best just hope you have both electrical clocks and gearbox. The other thing you may have, which my sport does is that the speedo runs off the abs sensor. Technically should still work unless when they changed the hubs over they used non abs hubs.
