i had my uncle look over my car earlier and he said it sounds like theres a loose tappet ... but then later today i was out with my bro and there was a corsa behind me with the same tapping noise ... but louder ... seen a few more corsa's and majourity of them made the same noise ...

could this be an mot failure?

not an mot failure but corsa do get tappy

when was the oil last changed?

about 5 months ago ... had full oil change and filter change

Its only an mot failure is its not closing the vlave and the emissions go out.

it could be knocking its face off with no oil and still get through an mot so long as it pases emissions.
