Right i may think you guys may think its stupid. but i have a 1.4 16v sport and i want to turn it into a 1.4 turbo. How much do u guys think it will cost me ?

take off from back of oil pump, feed into sump not that much work really

or just buy a vxr engine. pretty cheap conversion to do

well a vxr turbo is 500 pounds and then its 900 pounds for the pistons and con rods. But do i need the conrods as well ?

does the vxr z16let block same as x16xe ??? maybe you can swap parts like pistons and rods and turbo with manifld !!

well i have a spare garrett t25 turbo from my R5 GTT if you want it, thats from 1.4 haha
maybe not the right fitment but at least the thought was there

it's not stupid to turn a 1.4 na to turbo but if I where you for the money that will spend for the conversion I will rebore engine for 1.6 first and have a 1.6 turbo as maybe you can swap pistons and rods from a vxr engine

from what i know vxr rods and pistons are the same and the turbo off a vxr fits aswell. just need management

It must be aftermarket as the R5's have a T2 as standard.

yeh your right there mate, all r5's are t2 standard t25 was just an upgrade tp put a bigger smile on my face lol

just buy a C20LET, it will be faster, more reliable, and cheaper to build.

I costed this up for an X16XE a few years ago.
To build reliably with decent parts cost in the region of 3K.
Totally pointless to do in my opinion.

Mine was running a T28/T3 until I popped it, now got a T25!

i swapped my r5 last week as the head gasket was shot and a few other thigns went wrong with it so took the corsa and cash as a part ex good trade, nice to be back in a nice basic lil car nice n easy to fix and mod, (sorry for thread spamming mate)
