all you network buffs, can you give me a hand..

we have a network at the moment that looks like this



and i want to make it so i connect comp 1 and ps3 via ethernet but because i have only 1 cable from the hub to my room ive tried to put another hub on that and join the ps3 and comp1 from that ..

like this



but comp 1 will not detect a network anymore, the ps3 will work fine.

on the back of the router it is layed out like this

Power | Uplink | X1 | X2 | X3 | X4 | X5 | X6 | X7 | X8 | X9 | X10 | X11 | X12 |

i have connected the ethernet from the 1st hub into uplink, comp 1 into x1 and ps3 into x2

the ps3 connects via ethernet now fine but the pc just will not connect.

any help?

comp 1 is on vista btw

never mind i just unplugged the cables and plugged them back in and it worked.
