im thinking of doing this on my 1.0 12v corsa b but not sure if its going to be a bad idea?

it will give you a nice noise, not much else though

i think the problem is when you put a cone filter on, shouldnt be a problem with just drilling the box

I no alot of people do it with the 1.6 sport.

Thats what im doing when i have my panel filter!

yer 1.4/1.6s are fine..

so are the 1.2 16vs but not sure on the 1.0 12vs...

im not doing it to "gain power" obviously lol just want to know if it will cause any problems as i want it to sound a little more beafy...

Not gonna make a 12volt sound beafy, just make sure you don't drill the lid on the airbox - i've seen it done

lol

ive spoken to a few people with 1.0s who have drilled air boxes (standard filter and k&n panel filter) and they have said it doesnt effect the car one bit...

he also sent me a couple of vids with it done and it sounds pretty nice tbh, doesnt sound like a 12v at all..

i wont be going over the top with the holes though, just want some induction noise...

only thing that messes up the 1.0s air flow is by fitting a big cone filter..

only want it to give it a little more grunt..

Did it on my 1.6


sounds completly different now. think it does pick up a little better too although I maybe imagining it


Dont have to drill it just knock out the restrictive pipe in the middle and unclip the bottom pannel and the side closest the wing. Can put it back together then if you dont like it
