Hi i have a knocking sound coming from the bottom end, the car idles low(6-700) and my oil light flickeres on and off when the engine is warm.
Im thinking of either changing the main bearings or changing the engine as a whole.
Any comments, advice would be appriciated.

what corsa isit? what exhaust is on it? becos its common on corsa for some part of the exhaust to bang on the back axel especially when lowered

need to sort the idle out ina rush. if the oil light still comes on when idling correctly then throw in the bin and replace with another engine. id sooner do that than start changing bearings for the price of both if you no what i mean

its a corsa gsi with the x16xe engine in it. and it has a standard exhaust

one of the gallery's maybe blocked. have you tried using engine flush, then changing the oil?
