TBH the only mistake he made was getting Keegan back in to manage them - the guy is a fucking fruit loop and was never going to get them anywhere.
Also though I think a lot of Newcastle fans are living in wonderland and wont give any owner/manager a chance at the end of the day.

Bloke has poured approx 1/4 of a BILLION pounds in so far, said he would bankroll the club upto £20 million per season without wanting anything back, and yet still he is being hounded out of the club.
If I were Ashley i'd just walk away, withdraw all my money from running the club & let them get on with it, see how they fair then.

Ashley hasn't actually paid off the club's debts as reported he has simply loaned the club the money at a lower rate of interest, also there have been no reports of him bank rolling the club up to £20M per season. I personally have no problems with Ashley other that his questionable judgment in personnel. I mean a serial quitter who has done nothing of any note as a manager and a horrible little dwarf who again has done very little to justify a position as Director of Football. Everyone should have known it could have only ended in tears.

Apperently his contract ran out at the end of the season and was not renewed. Just the press have tried to twist it to that he has sacked Shearer as well.

Was just going by what was said in the statement on the NUFC website, although he'll have worded it so he looks like the good guy. You'll know more about it than me so wont dispute what your saying.
