Yeh i did mine myself, Was really easy, Depends on which firmware you have i did mine a while ago and had CID52 firware, do you know which you have?

I can do it via code.

munchie doesnt really help the community, just pops into geek day to add a short sentence about unlocking/selling phones

No it's not, depending on which firmware you select for use (generic).
It will remove the network lock

Actually I might be wrong going on what the site states. However I had a contract Vodafone K800i, a few years ago. Used a generic SE firmware and then used an O2 sim in it. I could have just not had a locked phone. hmmmm maybe a code is needed then. I don't have another SE phone to try
