This is on my 1 litre,
My drive shaft decided it was going to spit its bearings all over the road yesterday so I fitted another one with a mate and now the whol car shakes when below about 45mph, and you can feel it bad through the pedals and the gearstick, and when you turn the driveshaft by hand you can see the gearbox move slightliy then go back into place, then move, then go back into place, etc.
Any ideas on what I did wrong?

You did torque up that big bolt that holds the shaft in place, on the hub, right?

Erm, just wacked it tight with breaker bar.
What should it be torqued up to?

shoulb be first torqued up abuout 100 nm and then loose it agian and torqued again to the correct torque

When turning the driveshafte it pulls the gearboxs towards the hub then it jumps back in, so it still isn't fixed, any ideas?

have you checked that the cv joint has all ballrace in place ?

It all looks and feels fine as far as I can tell.
