When fitting a superchip, or anything to do with touching the ECU, should i earth myself to prevent any damage to the electronics by static electricity?

Would i need an earthing wristband like whats used when building computers etc?

nah nothing too teccy.

Take off the trim by the bonnet release to get to the ecu

Unplug ecu from loom

Take off the flap on the back and unplug the chip and insert the one of your choice

Yep, the chip looks exactly like that.

Ive had a look at the other side and there doesnt appear to be anywhere to put it.

I dont think my ECU cover has a "flap", as i took the whole top cover off.

Is your engine the X16 or C16 mate?

Am i right in thinking an early ECU will run my engine??

You can get the Superchips from their website.

I dont think you can buy the dbilas chips separately though...
