At last, circumstance's dictate he has to fight a half credible opponent and he gets his ass handed to him on a plate.

Was lined up to face Ken Shamrock, he busted his eye in practice earlier in the day so a light heavyweight opponent that was due to fight in a non televised undercard bout steps in at the last minute and finishes Kimbo within seconds

He has a band of merry men, mostly youtube stalwarts, that seemed to think he was the best fighter on the face of the planet.

He was always a big bruiser that could take a punch but MMA is a completely different matter. He got battered in a straight up fight there though, he'd be even worse if a jiu jitsu specialist or wrestler took him to the ground.

I can acknowledge that he's not a top fighter in the cage, but put the same fighter on a street with no referee and Seth is in intensive care. Ref's jump in too quickly in cage fighting, it's gone all modern day health and safety. Poor.

I'd take it up if i could find somewhere local that run a club or something.

I was watching a programme on Bravo last week about the Gracie family and how the whole Brazilian Jiu Jitsu movement was evolved completely by the 1 family, i was amazed by it.

When Hoyce Gracie was about it was more brutal wasn't it? You'd see snapped arms and legs more often, now if you throw a couple of punches they stop it, and I was watching Brock Lesnar's defeat, they let anyone in nowadays.

I knew of a guy who used to run a Thai Boxing club in Rotherham, I only joined to keep fit originally but didn't like that sort of stuff because it never came naturally to me, but he was a Brazilian bloke, called Pat Reveillino, there is bound to be some info on the web about him because he was 3 times WC at his weight before he began doing clubs.

I've been after a Brazilian Ju Jitsu club for years, no chance of finding one by me, theres fuck all round my area really.

I thought about Aikido too, but its one of the hardest arts to learn/master so could be to high for me.

I did Karate for 7 yrs, then had my knee op and i had to quit, so don't want to go back to the same art, i know how to strike/block now i want to learn a grapple/submission art

I'm curious what happened there, did he take a punch as he ran forward or did he just nosedive into the floor?

Front kick missed but he took a right clean on the face and folded like a cheap deckchair. Slow mo shows it far better;

To be fair Lesnar has had 2 fights in the UFC, showed his lack of experience against Frank Mir by being far too brash but then pummeled Heath Herring and won on a decision.

Thing about him though is, he's one of the best collegiate wrestlers America has produced in decades....he has transferrable skills to the MMA world, coupled with the fact he's a genuine monster of a human being.
