Is it a printer that is plugged into another machine on a network or is it plugged directlky into the network?

Figured it out now, its one plugged into another machine on the network.

Share it on that machine, then on your machine, go to Start > Run and type in \\computername that the printer is attached to, eg "\\pc1". Then double click on the printer, say yes to any promts and hey presto!
