are you talking handling or grip? Mine had tons of grip, still handled like shite. Doesnt feel connected, organised or safe.

It was alot of fun, but a crap drivers car.

Stick a big lump in it and have fun imo

Ive got a C20XE fitted with only Koni adj shockies set to stiff and 60mm springs.Ride is a bit harsh but i can safely say it hasnt let me down in the corners.Ive pushed it as hard as i can and it just sticks, even in the wet.I have had a cpl of moments where the rear has wanted to step-out,but that was just a bit lift off oversteer.

Oh and the best performance mod for an X14XE is probably to fit good brakes and strip it out.Just as good as an extra 20bhp.

a car that grips doesnt mean it handles

plus suspension needs to be set up properly

i found with my set up it handled well

spax coilovers 80ish front, shocks fully wound up, 60 rear 10 clicks in (makes it snake more)

Rear white line ARB

NO front ARB

Front and Rear strut braces

Quaiffe Diff

Decent set of tyres for track

stripped interior

Quaife would make a massive difference in grip and with the setup you've got warren im not suprised it handles well. More to it than jus suspension when you go down the arb or even lack of at the front. Assuming polybushed all round too?

corsa dont handle

the common opinion of people who dont put fuck all effort into suspension other than buying sub standard componants, having it 1" on the floor, and leave it as that

keith piper had a 190bhp 1.4 race corsa, that didnt do badly

Ive just bought polyrace bushes all round and alloy spoox motorsport front wishbone rear mounts, ive only heard exceptional things about the difference they make. Ive heard alot of people saying they are the single best mod they did to improve their cars handling.

Suppose the improvement is really relevant to state of your current ones. Stiffer ones mean less travel, so you can only pressume - sharper response and more predictive handling.

For 2x arb, 2x front wishbone, 4x rear beam polyrace bushes were £80 posted, the two alloy rear wishbone bushes had to be bought seperately, they were £90 posted for the pair. Will be different for a corsa though I imagine.

Mine handles brilliantly tbh and so many people have commented.

It might of cost about 500 quid for the suspension, and the cd player cuts out and the wheel sounds like its going to fall off everytime you hit a bump its that hard.....................but it dont half handle!

Its not stupid low either ....

Gas shockers and diff springs. its only 35mm down but the shockers bit shorter than standard so looks bit lower. Run cav gsi's with 45 profiles.

Use to run the 14' sxis rims and it were good but when pushed would understeer but now its got the wider rims on its awesome.

Probably too stiff for the road if im honnest, but when going for it up the derbyshire dales or round the track, it really shines - just straightline speed it needs and uprated pads
