as close to et 49 as possible and I would think no work but if so then very little

If you have 49mm offset no work would be needed. I have 17's and my car is lowered 50mm at the front and 55mm at the back. There is no rubbing at all...unless you hit a mid corner bump when you're really giving it some stick. Worth noting though is I am carrying around 1.2 degrees of negative camber in the front.
