When my XE is rebuilt im thinking of seam welding the engine bay before it goes in, is this worth while?? What is involved exactly and how much is it likey to cost?? Cheers

involved, taking everything out the engine bay, welding metal over the bay, painting over top.
will stiffen up the stearing and handling. some transplant places swear buy it. doesnt need to be done tho. cost wount be much, id GUESS at £100-200

I know this thread is 4 years old, BUT why would you weld metal over the bay to seam weld it? Im doing mine as we speak.
