Fluid is drained out. It's completely different to driving the car with no fluid in because the pump isn't trying to do anything.

I'm currently running a dry rack with the hoses attached and capped at the end, cause i've not had a chance to remove the hoses yet, but i just removed the pump basically.
Next sat i'm rebuilding the whole car, so i'll make a wee project thread then, and i'll remove them then, but from my expierance, it's just fine, even parking and im not a big lad!!!

What FTG size will those bungs be mark? And how many will i need, cant remember off top of my head.
Also do they just push in,....
And one other thing, why is there a need to bung the holes?

you bung it to stop chime going in.
i have the correct sizes on order as its not the first time i have done this modification, nor will it be the last, hence i tend to keep these caps in stock.

They're not a bung, they're a screw on fitting which I'd imagine it's unlikely someone would have laying around.

But you don't need to do anything to the car apart from remove the PAS pump, if you wanted EPS you have to change the rack and the columm.

I'm talking about just using the 2.7 turn rack that comes on the EPAS setup.. Its just a NORMAL manual rack that happens to be 2.7 turns lock-to-lock.. No need to fit the power column or any of that jazz and voila you have a quick rack for peanuts.

totally agree, however only reason i would do this was if there was already a PAS rack and coloum fitted, just remove all the pas gubbins, job done.
again with dans comment just there, bend the old pipes to blank it off, yes no reason why not, only reason i got the bungs is they are cheap, and people sometimes like things to look good, i spend £100's and £100's on aluminium fittings for my fuel lines etc, so i wasnt going to have two bent bits of pipe blanking the rack off. wanted it all to look good.

you can on mine, on a 2ltr you wouldn't see them unless you looked.
Im also someone who likes to know its done properly, it would bug me that it was only done wit a bent bit of pipe.

I know what you are saying, no point spending £10 on some fancy blue bits of ally.
I'm not 100% if this is true but I'm told the 2.7 turn fluid PAS rack (without fluid assist) is heavier than the standard manual rack, which is why it sort of makes sense and its such a small amount of money

All its doing is stopping the dust, its not holding the car together.

have driven a few corsa's and my blanked off pas rack isnt any heavyer IMO!
