Whats wrong with not stretching the dirty hose all round your car?

I never do it, I like my car without scratches thanks.

I made myself look like a right tit the otherday in my mums car, I can strech the pump in the SEAT, but, her car is wider and it failed

Mk4 Astra has the symbol on the right and the filler cap on the right.

I can manage to do it without the hose touching my car at all, and make sure it doesn't touch - hold the hose with the other hand if need be. A bit of a dirty hand's better than waiting in a queue of dafties for half an hour.

And I'd have thought it was nothing to do with anything what side it's on, just what's the designers/engineers think is more suitable.

I never stretch the hose, dont fancy having a manky hose over my car and risk scratching it

I do wear the gloves if they're there, don't see the problem with not wanting my car filthy.

Diesel pumps are worse though, your hands stink after using a diesel pump without the glove on.
