ive just been reading on a site that the 1.2 cam is quite restricting and its worth uprating the cam from a larger litre corsa???
is this true?? cause if it is ill prob go to a scrappy and get one! im trying to do relativly cheap mods!

anyone know?? if so whats my best choise cam to go for say something from a 1.4/1.6??
my engine is a 1.2 8valve

are the 1.4 and 1.6 the same cam, with a slight difference in the timming or am i on the wrong lines haha

im not to sure... im just trying to give my 1.2 a bit more poke and i dont have the money to fork out for expensive parts!

why dont you buy a 1.4 sport? would be a huge improvment straight away, i cant see that a 1.4 cam or 1.6 cam would fit, and it would have to be out of the 8v sri any way

i know but i dont have the money to buy and fit one! so im just doing cheap upgrades... so is putting an cam from a larger litre 8valve engine out the picture????

you would have to check that the length of the cam and the lobes etc were something similar to what you have, oviusly you would expect them to be larger but if they are to big the lift etc would be different so wouldnt work. then the timing would need to be correct. i would try and see if anyone who has done it replies to this thread.
