which engine, i've got a 4-2-1 manifold sport cat and stanless mid box with no back box spliting to 2 pipes,


but if i was to do it i'd get a 4-2-1 manifold sport cat and no mid box in the system, all in stainless

take out the cat and mid box will make a lot of noise, you got a back box?

would possibelly be worth getting a manifold

generally flames are when he car is overfuling and this is ignited

apart from a flamer kit i dont think you can make it do it though

a decat and a straight thru would prob manage it i would rekon

My mates 205 popped flames without a flame kit. Tottally straight through exhaust tho. Think it had a 2.0 turbo zantia engine in it (dont know spelling of it)

my old 1.4 8v used to pop a bit (flash of flame) with a full straight through when giving it some shit.

why not, a sign of overfueiling??


mines as stated above and it backfires coming down the box but no flames, ever lol

my old corsa 1.2 8v had no cat an a straight pipe to a back box and that spat 1ft flames when ever it felt like it but it blew the head more times than anything else

have it in neutral rev it to the limiter then let off tiny bit, then turn igniton off then as it dyin abit turn it back on again. makes it backfire flames,.well worked in my nova 1.2carb with no cat but that backfired like a shotgun about 10times when slowin down lol

my gsi pops 2 foot flames wen you keep stamping the throttle between 5 and 6000rpm and when i change from 2nd to 3rd quick after a good raggin. thats a powerflow straight thru, de-cat and 4-2-1 manifold

my 14xe did pop flame when i had a 4-1 and decat with straight through mid section and back box.. Lambda was only reading off cylinder 3 so was over fueling like a git.. The xe pops a lot on over run which is a bit of fun and sounds quite nice when changing down the box..

with most aftermarket exhaust systems they seem to pop and bang (resonance i believe its called) my old R5 GTS used to do!!) im hoping my 1.2 8v will do it when it comes to removing the mid box!!
