What have you got, all i need is something that has an answer machine which you can hear the messages as they are being recorded, so we don't have to pick it up if it's for example a salesperson, and if we hear a relative leaving a message we can pick it up.

I have caller id on my line which is quite useful as you can see whos calling so deciede if you want to pick up or not

Unfortunately my parents are lazy bastards and can't be arsed to get up and go in the other room to see who's calling, if they can hear who's calling, they can decide if they want to get it

Just bought one out of argos...didnt pay much attention to the purchase, just ordered, paid, took it home & plugged it it. It phones people so does the job. Ive had it 3yrs now & still not bothered to work out how to work the answerphone

I don't have one anymore. Phone line comes in for use with Broadband and just use my mobile to take and recieve calls.

Get a package with Sky, otherwise would use 3G.
