Would they be a good replacement for standard speakers?
straight swap using adaptors?
just want to replace the door speakers so that they can take the power output from my head unit.

Yes mate, would recommend these as an upgrade, I have them in my car with a bit of a Vibe set up on the go =
vibe amp (cant remember which one! lol) powering some vibe slick 6x9s in the shelf with a CBR Active 12" sub in the boot!
And the front speakers have never failed me!
You will get some people slagging Vibe off, but from my experiences, they are extremely good - especially for the money!
So go for it!!
