need to know the Name of the Engine mounts used on the 51 reg 2.0 Gti?
and also if possible where theyare located in theengine bay!

ok so theres 2 mounts? which mount are they? they must have a name, for example, Gearbox mount? right mount

what do you need to know ?

your have a mount on the o/s chassis leg irrc (remember these cars have a subframe ), a gearbox mount, and a pendulum (sp) mount located on the subframe

i need to know which mount goes where!
i can see which mount needs replacing bt dunno which to order because i dnt knw which is which!

so basically theres 3 mounts
The rear one will be the gearbox?
were are the other 2 located? 1 of O/s and 1 on N/S ??

Etka printout ftw!!

5 - bolts to o/s chassis leg, incorperated bonded rubber mount
12 - Bolts to engine
17 - bolts to the gearbox, different types depending on your box
9 - bonded rubber mount that bolts to the n/s chassis leg

Lower gearbox mount / steady bar / dog bone mount (not numbered) bolts gearbox to subframe

Theres's a good chance if you go to VW and tell them what you need they may be able to order it in, think it's called the parts department.

Yeah this is first option! A little Birdy told me they can be quite dear tho, so check the internet first, so just seeing if there is any other options other than the Part department!

Not a clue mate, the VW part shouldnt be too expensive. Do you know the engine code and ill see if theres a price on my copy of ETKA.

no mate, dnt knw the code, all i know its the 2.0 gti!
ill try give dealers a ring tomorra if no1 can get sum prices!
