A friend of mine has a problem with there 1.0 12v Corsa. The EML is on, it took 10 minutes to start this morning and it shudders when you are slowing down, anyone got any ideas?

Possibly the crankshaft position sensor. If eml is on then get the fault code read. No point changing random parts when its easy enough to identify.

It's getting that done on Thursday, didn't know if anyone would know what it was from the above.

i had similar symptoms to that with my old 12volt. only difference was that mine would sometimes cut out when you ease off the accelerator. it then wouldn't start again for 10-15 mins. its probably the cheapest of the sensors to change so that is a good thing.
