On a serious note, this happened to me in Newcastle on a night out. Went to withdraw £60 and the bastarding thing only gave me £40 - I got a receipt as well and it said it had come off.
There was an 'emergency' number on the screen (for if you find any 'unusual devices' or if anything funny happens) but after phoning it about a dozen times it kept ringing out and I forgot all about it when I got back.

I thik with LloydsTSB you can claim a misdespense after 6 months, they have to kleep the till roll of the ATM and balance information so will know if it was 'over' i.e still had too much cash in it.....

Happened to me about 18 months ago but in one of those cash points in a pub. Took about 6 weeks to get it back and luckily i'd kept my advice slip. I always get an advice slip if taking more than say £50 out now.
