Start the car up (after glow plugs), if you turn the steering wheel all the lights dim (exterior and interior, on the mfd, clocks etc)? Doesnt do it if its rolling etc, anyone know why this is?
AFAIK its done it since we got it in May

Just about every car does it.
The power steering pump draws loads of power, the alternator is working harder when you're moving and you don't notice it.

Yeah, my car has always done it.
Consider yourself lucky with a 2.0DTi.
Imagine a Corsa B 12v, with electronic power steering and heated rear screen on

mine was the same deano. put a bit of lock on as i'm pulling of my driveway and everything went dim.

Ah ok then thats fine, I did think it would be down to load on the alternator, just wanted to get another opinion, thanks
