and oh yeah, forgot to say I know how you feel, as my old SRi was done whilst I was out in Stevenage 2 years ago, they went done the offside wing and towards the offside door, I weren't happy, specially as I had only been driving for 3 weeks and owned the car for 3 months.

The first thing i did when i got home was rub candle wax into the scratches to seal it as it was raining and its still clogged up now and no rust or anything so maybe try that.
Hopefully that will save it untill i get it repaired!

How did you do that munk3y, just take a candle out and rub it over the scratch? I'll try and do that tomorrow, it's outside in the rain at the moment though, i'll ask my dad to come get it tomo and put it in the unit for a while.

Yeah wash the area down to avoid grit, and just rub a normal candle diagonally across the scratch (you can see it fill up with wax) but it is a fucker to get off the area around the scratch i found. Dont know how easy wax is to remove when they go to repair it but i wasnt willing to let it rust

Sorry to hear about that mate - there are some right bastards around here!

Any pics of it - how deep are they? I may be able to attack it with the machine polisher??

I just finally spoke to my old man properly about it, he said about vaseline too, it's easier to get off than the wax he said. So i'll buy some of that tomorrow and smudge it on. I'm taking it to a chip/scratch removal place on sat to get a quote on it.

Rich i'll try get a pic tomorrow morning, and let you see what you think, you might be able to do it cheaper than this place!
