Ok i have the steering wheel boss now but i have just been reading in the Haynes manual and it says i will need to replace the retaining lock nut washer when refitting,so i have been down to vauxhall this morning but they don't stock them and i will have to order some in but it will be a pack of them about 20-30 washers but i only need 1

Is it vital to replace the washer or not?

shouldn't need thread lock, as the washer bend's up to lock the nut

i got the steering wheel off but im a bit stuck

the indicator cancellation bit on the back of the old wheel does not fit onto the back off the boss on the back of the new wheel like in this pic you can see the long plastic bit does not reach the boss.sorry for the mega shit pic.

This is what the back of the boss looks like and it looks totally different to the original wheel

here is the back of the old wheel

and also the green wire that is connected to the inside of the old wheel has no connection point on the inside of the boss

have i been sent the wrong boss kit or not?

the cancellation plastic ring unclipped from the old wheel but there doesn't seem to be the correct holes on the boss for it to clip into.
