I've just ordered an inlet manifold, an exhaust maifold and an exhaust. what induction kit and superchip can i gain from the most? its a 1.6 sport

erm... not sure about the chip as they are a bit of a myth, i would save your money but if you want an induction kit get a bmc carbon one, does the job and spruces up your bay a bit.

P.s save up for a remap

Inlet manifold + ind kit?

Ditch ind kit straight away, use modified airbox more power, better response at low revs, better peak etc..

Yup.

Cheaper, and is much better.

Inlet manifolds don't make the same induction roar, so induction kti isn't really needed (unless is for looks).

I see. so that deep thoaghty note of 16v corsa's is from the inlet manifold....because its restricted.

bingo ,ive got inlet(just fitted) janspeed manifold 4-2-1 and janspeed cat back ,with a derestricated airbox with a K&N and the differnce is very satisfying!

just got some quotes on throttle bodies and OMG(pricey). for the multi TB kit putting the 1.6 to 140bhp it £1445 and then a FR2SB fuel regulator is £70 on top. thats an awfull lot of money!

people tell me 130bhp, but id say thats the very maximum.

i think there has been a big torque increase aswell though, hope to get it RRd soon

I thought I'd get about 125 or so. what about a lightened flywheel? would it make much difference? and a power boost valve

I got 128bhp but my engine had had a rebuild and was in very good condition.
