Would the discs on my '98 Sport 1.4 be the same size as those on a GSI? I need to know if the GSI discs will go straight on without changing the calipers.

the 1.4 are smaller in both height and width. the gsi brakes are 256x20mm

1.4 sport brakes are 236x20 were as gsi is 256x20

Yes they would. All 1.4 16v's use the 236mm setup, and the 1.6 Sport and GSi use the 256mm brakes. The 1.4 8v also use the 236mm setup but are solid instead of vented.

Cheers Dave. I just needed to know if the discs from the early 1.4 SRI would be a direct swap for the later 1.4 Sport, looks like it is then

Incorrect!! The SRi 8v uses vented disks. 236mm.

There were 2 SRis...one with the 82bhp 1.4 8v engine and one with the 1.4 16v 90bhp engine, both had the same brakes.
