strandard is about 10mm?

when i put my batt in the boot i didnt use amp cable as this is no good or so im told as the core wire isnt thick enough so i went and bought some proper batt cable done seem realy thick but is the proper stuff but is £8.50 a metre

got 5 metres mate so i could run it all round the car. a decent halfords should do it per metre i.e a ripspeed one

usually get loads of cable in good gauge from auto electric places. lsuk is where i got mine from.

what guage did you use? i went out last weekend to look for some cable and all i managed to find was that flexible amp cable you get, the red crap.

0 gauge. like the other fella, i got about 5m of it. was years ago so cant remember how much it cost.

havn't checked motor factors yet, we got partco and places like that but most people that work there are so dumb i can never get the right car part i need so i tend to not use them

totally wrong mate, the longer cable means there is a higher resistance for the current to flow therefore a larger cable is required. also there is a posibility of voltage drop which also means a bigger cable is required

very correct there donvaux with the resistance,voltdrop is unlikely on a corsa,i would just get something tri rated (its very flexible) and thats either 0 gauge or 4 the bmw sounds a good plan to keep in budget too

go and get the longest and thickest set of jump leads you can find and use them.

jsut cut the big crocodile style clamps off the end.

can get a mega set from machine mart for about 20 quid and have plenty left. that will be more than adequate
