Okay, its very simple and not brilliant. After all, i think my camera has seen better days. There appears to be a lot more noise than there used to be.

My dad is selling this Porsche Tequipment book on Ebay, and he asked me to take a pic of it. I was bored, and i thought i'd try something a little fancier.



I used a black t-shirt over an A3 sized board as the backdrop and one of these to prop up the book.



I also had a simple halogen spotlight to cast some more light on the book.

Have you edited out the feet at the bottem (the bits that flick up ?)

Yeah it was on auto. If i was to put it on manual and keep the iso down to 50, would that make a big difference?

Actually, only one way to tell. I'll give it a go later.

Yeah very big difference ! ISO as low as your camera goes and then play, will be so much sharper with little to no noise

Yeah, if you're in an environment where the subject is static, and the camera can be set up on a tripod you should keep the ISO as low (50 to 200) and increase the shutter speed to get the right exposure. Having a slightly narrower aperture F8 ish should keep everything in focus and be nice and sharp.
