Contactless payment. It's where you don't have to take your card out your wallet or put a pin in for payments less that £10 - it's similar to an Oyster card, but for money.

I don't get it though, my halifax card had this ages ago, called 'Wave' or something, you just placed it up instead of putting in pin etc. Had it at least a couple of years ago...
Yet I saw them making a big fuss about this barclaycard version on the news the other day, as if they were the inventors?

I just got a Barclaycard with this on it not that I'll ever use it. Only got it to take advantage of the 0% balance transfer deal

Yes but for anything more than £10 you have to enter your pin. And the average fraudster won't go round buying goods under £10 to make money.
