Dom Rep is fab, I'm going back there in August, it's that relaxing it takes you a month to get back in the swing at home.

TBH if your going on holiday and your budget is tight, you shouldn't be going in the first place.

Most people have a budget im afraid, its called living within your means.
All im trying to say is a holiday that cost £2k last year could end up costing half again this year!! Thats how much its went up.

I stayed at the Baron Palms, it is nowhere near anywhere but tbh you dont want to be anywhere near the main town - its a nightmare!!
If you just want a relaxing holiday its perfect.

I know what your saying Colin, but if your going to travel the world and see places then aslong as your not bankrupting yourself, then prices shouldn't really put you off, because if it does then you'd be more suited to a caravan in Lincolnshire.

Jizzty have you ever priced up a caravan holiday? F.king extortionate!!
I see what your saying aswell & agree, just while prices are high I dont mind pulling in the belt. I like value for money as much as the next person.

We're off to Sharm in September, 10 days from 31/08 for £700ish, 4/5 star, all inclusive, got a couple of excursions as well
Sister went a couple of years ago, and my dad went this year, both had good reports.
The day trips are only worthwhile if you fly to Cairo otherwise it's 7 hours each way on coach, and still over £100 for the trip. We were originally looking for 1 week cruise, 1 week Red Sea, but that was working out at over 1k, and not the weeks i've got booked off
