what did you keep the revs to mate?

use mineral oil, do 100 miles, then change for fresh mineral oil again do 500 miles, try too keep under 3500rpm, but sumtimes giv it short bursts so rings bed in better, then at 500 miles change for mineral once more till 1000miles, but go higher on the revs now and then, then change oil for normal oil and ur away.

just go too local motor factors and buy the cheapest 15/40w mineral u can find, will say mineral on gallon.

The instructions for running in should have been supplied with your piston rings.

yes, i would personally, but others might do it different too me, ive done 6 engines the above way and all worked fine.

Do exactly that. I just used normal Vaux oil thought tbh and always have done.
